私が演劇を作るときに持っている視点の全てがこの戯曲には入っていて、20代のころからやりたいと思っていた戯曲でした。音楽や笑いという人を楽しませる要素がありながら、今の私たちに問いかけることがすごく多い作品です。神山さんが演じることによって、60年前のことではなく、今の自分事のように感じられる作品になったと思います。神山さんは芯がとても強く正直な方で、舞台上にいて嘘がないので、素直な声としてセリフが入ってきて気持ちいいです。すごく助けられました。神山智洋(ジャニーズWEST) コメント
いよいよ明日から幕が開きますが、稽古中楽しく和気あいあいとやっていて、その中でも八嶋さんがムードメーカーとなって良い空気にしてくださり感謝しています。タイトな稽古スケジュールの中、皆で一丸となってつくりあげました。PARCO劇場という伝統のある場所でお芝居が出来ると聞いたときは、もちろん喜びもありましたが驚きの方が大きかったです。「僕でいいんですか！？」っていう(笑)。主演としての覚悟は持たないといけないものだと思いますし、幽霊が本当にそこにいるということをイメージして常にやっています。あと、この作品のために髪の毛を切ったのですが、好評で、カンパニーの皆さんから「かわいい」と褒めていただいています（笑）。八嶋智人 コメント
神ちゃんとは20歳以上離れているけど、すごくしっかりしていてびっくりしました。どんな悪球を投げても、ものすごく落ち着いてボールを胸元に返してくれる。アクシデントが起きても一番しっかりしているし、安心感があります。木村了 コメント
(ワールドカップが盛り上がっていましたが)「いつか必ず良いパスが来る」ってすごく良い言葉だなと思って。今だけではなくそれまでの努力が必要で、ちゃんと自分がポジショニングしていれば良いパスがくる。舞台も同じで、ちゃんと努力して構えていればいつか良いパスは回ってくると思っています。
