実は1週間ほど前、「大丈夫かな」と不安な気持ちが心をよぎったこともあったのですが、今は「これはいけるんじゃないか」と手応えを感じています。ウィリーの妄想・回想を視覚的に、かつ斬新で本質をついたショーンさんの演出も素晴らしいです。
言いたいことを段田さんが言ってくださいました(笑)
僕が演じるビフはキャスト内でやりたい役ランキングの上位に入っているので、みなさんからダメ出しを貰わないように千秋楽まで日々精進していきたいです。通しをする度にショーンさんからより深く演出をいただけるので、1日も頭が休まらないまま劇場に来ましたが、その分深いお話になっていると思います。
世の中が大変な状況の中、無事に初日を迎えられて嬉しいです。今日から千秋楽まで毎日を大切に過ごしたいと思います。ショーンさんは約1か月間、毎日みっちり、時には予定の稽古時間を超えるほど稽古をしてくださり、まるで部活のような日々でした。稽古後にショーンさんが話をしてくれる姿が部活の監督のようで、今日からみんなで試合に臨むような感覚にぐっときています。
新しくなったPARCO劇場で『セールスマンの死』を演じられることを嬉しく思います。深い戯曲に仕上がっておりますので、二度三度観ていただきたいです。
60歳を超えたからか、この作品を観客としてみていた頃よりも、自分自身のことや、自分と子供との関係、自分が若い頃に親に対してとっていた態度を振り返ったりと、より心に刺さるものが大きくなっています。過去の輝きや家族と過ごした楽しい時間がもう戻ってこないという思いも、ウィリーの感覚と重なる部分が多いなと感じています。それと、今回、とても斬新な作品ページへ
